What's Happening Now

The Prairie Initiative is just beginning, and we want you to be part of it from day one:

  • Now: Spring 2026 AI courses underway — ENG 191 (AI for All), ENGR 491 (Applied AI), CSCE 155-AI

  • Now: Husker AI student organization active and growing — Join Husker AI

  • Feb 5: Prairie Launch Event — In-person at capacity. Can't attend? Stream the panel discussion.

  • Forming Now: Collaborator Groups in Research, Productivity, and Teaching & Learning

  • Coming Soon: Communities of Practice — faculty-led groups around shared AI interests

  • New: AI Graduate Certificate available through School of Computing
